Blocky

Blocky is a Breakout / Brick & Ball type game. 

Game play:

Each level in Blocky is cleared by destroying all the destructible Bricks, using the Pad to bounce the Ball into them.  The Ball's speed increases by a small amount after a certain number of hits.  Some destroyed Bricks will drop a Power-Up that can be collected with the Pad.

The direction of the Ball's travel can be influenced by hitting the ball with either the left or right side of the Paddle.  The further to either side the ball hits the paddle, the more to the left or right the ball will leave paddle.  Hitting the ball with the center of the paddle makes the ball go straight up.

If you get bored of starting the game and going through the same level order, you can go into the Options and turn on Random Level Order to randomize the order in which the levels are played.

• Smash through standard Destructible Bricks without bouncing off.

• Level Skip

* Note! : The Laser Gun Power-Up overrides the Catch Power-Up and vice-versa

• Magnetic Brick
• Indestructible Moving Brick

Controls:

• Pause | Quit game  -  ESC
• Move Paddle Left | Right - Mouse Left + Right / A + D / Left Arrow + Right Arrow
• Launch Ball - Right Mouse Button / Space
• Fire Gun - Left Mouse Button / Left CTRL + Right CTRL
• It is recommended to use the mouse.

Installation:

Blocky does not have an installer.  Simply extract the Blocky folder from the archive to the location of your choice and run the game.

Blocky was tested on Windows 10, Windows 11 and Linux Mint Cinnamon

This game uses AI generated content, which I have to declare.  To clarify;  The only part of the game that uses this are the backgrounds for each level (which were subsequently tweaked and edited to suit the game).  All other content in this game is created by me (Music , Code, GFX, SFX), bar a couple of SFX sourced from www.zapsplat.com
